If I could pass this way again
Do you know what I'd do
I'd make an extra effort
To somehow make friends with you
I'd always have a smile for you
When we came face to face
Cause no one on this earth
Could ever start to take your place
I'd always shoot straight with you
And never criticize
And you would see more kindness
When you looked into my eyes
I'd visit you more often
And maybe you and me
Could figure out a way that we
Could live in harmony
I'd place more value on you
And less on material things
Cause friendship is eternal
While material things take wings

And help you live it too

Or fuss and carry on
I'd realize you have enough
Problems of your own
I'd wish you all the very best
In everything you do
And when life's good things come your way
I'd be proud of you
But I don't have another chance
To do the best I can
Cause life was short and I can't ever

Reach out and shake your hand

To be your fellow man
